Scott Paterson is a dubbing and re-recording mixer at the post production branch of Glasgow’s Blazing Griffin, working across sound design, dialogue editing, ADR, voiceover and final mixing.
“As a mixer, it is my job to bring together all of the sound elements, dialogue, sound effects, Foley and music and to balance those into a cohesive final soundtrack. You work closely with the director or producer(s) to balance levels and apply effects to realise their vision. The main goal is to have the soundscape of the film tell the story we see on screen as effectively as possible.”
