In British Cinematographer’s latest post-production feature, colourists Gareth Bishop and Taryn Calverey reflect on their work across California Schemin’, Half Man and Glenrothan.
For California Schemin’, the directorial debut of James McAvoy, cinematographer James Rhodes and Bishop worked closely to shape a vibrant portrayal of Dundee.
“We focused on selective saturation — letting certain colours pop without pushing the overall image too far — so Dundee feels vibrant, contemporary and aspirational,” says Bishop.
