The Ship: Murder Party

The Ship: Full Steam Ahead - Kickstarter sets sail on 31st October 2012

Wed, 24/10/2012 - 12:51 -- Blazing Griffin

I'm happy to announce that our Kickstarter for The Ship: Full Steam Ahead, a sequel to The Ship: Murder Party, is planned to set sail on 31st October 2012.

Early concept images for the game will appear in the press tomorrow, so you can marvel at those - we think they're lovely - and we've got a selection of attractive rewards you can get by funding the project.

The crowdfunding for Full Steam Ahead is launching on the first day Kickstarter will be available in the United Kingdom. As a UK based company this makes the fundraising process far easier for us.

The Ship Sets Sail for Charity

Wed, 10/10/2012 - 11:38 -- Blazing Griffin

Sick Kids Save Point raises money for the Edinburgh Children's Hospital, popularly known as Sick Kids, through a 24 hour gaming marathon.

We want to support our local charity as much as possible and one of our intentions with last weekends sale was to be able to set up some servers for The Ship.

You have helped us achieve this target and beyond which in turn means we can do even more for our local charity Sick Kids Save Point.

As well as having more servers to enjoy The Ship we will donate a free key for every pound raised for the charity.

When it comes to charity we certainly aren't, "all at sea", and our good friends at Sick Kids Save Point (@SKSavePoint) raise funds for the local (Edinburgh) children's hospital commonly known as Edinburgh Sick Kids.

We're delighted to help them and - near or far - if you want to support them too; there are ways to take part on their webpage.

The Summer Griffin

Tue, 17/07/2012 - 14:28 -- Blazing Griffin

Greetings to all ducks and other amphibian critters.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that summer had been cancelled this year, what with all the splooshyness outside the window; and I’m sure we all hate feathers getting wet, or icky mud between the claws… I know I do.

So, banished to our assorted twigs, perches, and roosts by aquatic distemper, what’s to do with all this spare inside-ness, so dry and shiny? This be-socketed dream of deep-piled comfyness that so favours the pursuit of electronic entertainment?

The Griffin's Foray and What's Next

Mon, 27/02/2012 - 16:40 -- Blazing Griffin

I'm sure a few of you have been wondering why we decided to acquire The Ship, so I thought I'd shed some light on our thinking as well as on some of the results to date.  Those not of a business-like disposition look away now...

Reasons for acquiring The Ship:

Firstly, it's a great game. We love it. 'Nuff said.

Secondly, The Ship was (is) generating small amounts of revenue. As a studio looking to grow quickly, the value of having a stream of income - even a small one - is extremely high.

Ho, Ho, Ho... Argh! Happy 'Fragging' Christmas.

Hello, dear players.

If, like us, you're looking forward to a visit from a figure in red(1) then we have good news: it's that time of year, again, where an anthropomorphic expression of great jollity and insane generosity can be seen flying high above the streets and houses, delivering presents to all good game players everywhere.

I am, of course, talking about the CHRISTMAS GRIFFIN.
