Battle for galactic superiority in Blazing Griffin's space strategy game Distant Star
Distant Star is set in a far flung future; where three human factions battle for superiority and for control of a mysterious artefact. An artefact which has influenced human evolution: The Arc of Ascension.
Distant Star is a turn-based, 4x (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate) strategy space game. Playing either single or multiplayer games players must attempt to create an empire and conquer the galaxy, using military action, technology, or diplomatic intrigue. Game play switching between strategic and tactical levels, focussing on a simplicity of learning but a depth of play.
Distant Star gives more than a nod to table-top gaming; with vector-based combat, a slick graphical style and an element of collectable card-based games, a modern interpretation of the classic era of strategy games; like Masters of Orion and Sword of the Stars, with a twist of Steambirds or Command and Conquer.
Distant Star is a part of a unique science fiction Intellectual Property (IP) created with thousands of years of history; which will form the basis for multiple products but is first being trialled and defined in this game.
Distant Star is a re-imagining of our original iOS title being developed for tablets and will launch in early 2013.
